When I was first hired by AAA, I was the lead visual and interaction designer for an analytics dashboard. Before this, all the data was collected manually and compiled into spreadsheets that were then distributed to executives and necessary stakeholders. The challenge for me was to take this raw data and create a tool that would funnel it in realtime to an interface that would be visually meaningful and with intuitive controls, while still retaining the AAA brand presence. Since the target audience was a handful of executives and stakeholders, I had the advantage of working directly with them. A lot of my work went into low-fidelity mock-ups that were then tested with the users regularly until they reached the high-fidelity mock-ups. This project is currently in development.
